I once came out of a grocery store to find an elderly man napping in the passenger seat of my car. Wasn’t my car. I quietly closed the door and I don’t think he woke up. I did not shoot him.
I've tried to open my house with my work keys. That's about it. This is ridiculous. She was high on something, even if it was only white panic.
That’s exactly it. A black man isn’t safe from state-sanctioned murder alone in his own home. This is America.

No man other than my father or a romantic partner has ever called me "sweetheart" respectfully.
Right. The "don't ask" part was the new part.
Don’t you remember the atmosphere in 1994? The Evangelicals had an outsized amount of power, and...oh, wait. Not too different from today.
I was one of those compromise things that moved the Overtime window. Kind of like the ACA has moved it to the point that it looks today like an outdated policy.
