To be honest, this whole column sounds like a cleaned up version of Epic Meal Time. I don’t hate it though, some of the stuff those guys make seriously turns my stomach and isn’t really based in reality like these are.

Dear Lord that American Casserole sounds amazing.

Yikes! Way too long with the pickle brine. I’ve found an hour and a half is just about the perfect amount of time for two chicken breasts or two pork chops. Any longer and the pickle taste becomes overwhelming.

Ah excellent. I know what BMW I will get in 2028 when it depreciates to the point that I can afford it.

Haven’t seen the Isuzu Trooper floated here yet. I was (still am really) obsessed with the Gen 1 Trooper. They usually have a TON of miles on them, it’s hard to find one with less than 130k, but they are always dirt cheap.

They also made these with a hemi. I looked for one a few years ago but didn’t have much luck. They were kind of renowned for their electrical issues, and of course they didn’t sell all that well. I still like them though.

I guess my first “real” car was a ‘98 TJ. I drove my dad’s old ‘98 Chrysler Sebring convertible for my first few years after getting a license, but the TJ was the first car I bought myself (sorta) and I drove it for most of high school and into college.

I think the worst part about this is the fact that it shouldn’t be news, but alas it is.

This is very common. I can assure you that local governments would help if they could, but the funds just aren’t available. We eliminated private roads from being unpaved about 3 years ago, and mandated that all roads in a subdivision be up to DOT standards, whether they are private or intended to be accepted into the

I have this problem every day here. Substandard subdivision roads built by shady developers with the promise that “they will repair them” or dedicate them to an HOA that no longer exists or no longer has funding to make it happen.

I only have 2 dream cars to own one day:

“The 2018 Buick Regal GS is Surprisingly Great”

You joke, but they are actually pretty fun cars to drive. I rented one back in October for a drive from NC up to Baltimore, and it was a pretty sweet ride. Granted, I come from a ‘99 XJ as a DD, so just about anything is an improvement as far as the ride and handling goes, but I really liked the car.

“Do you know how old I was before I figured out that the V8 in Campbell’s V8 juice stood for eight vegetables?”

Anyone figure out how to remove the stains from these? I have one that I used for some home made vinegar based BBQ sauce that never came clean, it’s permanently dyed red now. It doesn’t change the taste of anything in the bottle, and I suppose they’re cheap enough to throw out and buy new, but I’d still like to figure

I wasn’t aware a set of wheels could be sexy, yet here we are.

I hear that Danica Patrick isn’t doing anything right now...

Only if every episode has him driving a vintage Mini from a recliner strapped to the roof. Further, any car he drives needs to get run over by a tank at the end.

It’s more than just scouring classifieds and looking at tons of dealership websites, Carmax sales associates LEAVE YOU ALONE. I despise going to a standard dealer because they just hover over you the entire time you’re on the lot. The Carmax guy might drop by twice, but other than that he leaves you to peruse the lot.

Ah, another solution for a problem that doesn’t exist.
