Haha. And ironically that last part is very close to being a violent threat. If you had said it to me in person, I would interpret it that way.

You’re being mean to me on the internet. I am not going to look at your posts anymore. I don’t need any empathy from you though, save that for people with real (actually existing) problems.

No, because fundamentally, nobody has to look at twitter unless they want to. If it part of your job to and you can’t handle then you need to consider another career.

That isn’t the analogy. The analogy is: as a journalist part of your job is to write things that other people may not like and may attack you for. If you can’t handle that, you can’t handle the job.

You wouldn’t become a pilot if you were afraid of flying would you????

You wouldn’t become a pilot if you were afraid of flying would you????

oh I get what you’re trying to say. But it’s a false analogy because you can choose not to look at the internet.

Yeah in that case it still wouldn’t have been ON THE INTERNET.

Honestly asking how exactly does it affect their lives? If it is entirely contained within the internet it doesn’t unless they let it.

Yeah I’d like to see sharia law imposed. I can just taste those salty male tears now.

Women are children and we have to let them win so they don’t cry about not being allowed to play with the big kids?

As a half-white man who tans quite well I am embarrassed for you. Your self-loathing is pathetic. See a therapist.

Haha. Thick skin? Because some people might say some mean things to you on the internet? How did you ever get over it?

You cannot measure the true rate with statistics. Among accusations which are not pursued for lack of evidence, the lack of evidence is either despite the truth of the accusation or because its falsity. It is impossible to determine which one. At best you could statistically measure outright retractions.
