Your screen name is 100% right on. I still think about the Nogitsune season of Teen Wolf regularly. Dylan O’Brien made me a fan for life with his acting that season.

Utopia is SUCH an amazing, mind-fuck of a show. Last I heard HBO was trying to develop it for US audiences, but was having issues. I’m glad to hear it found a new home elsewhere, but I’m not going to hold my breath. I like Flynn but this show is so batshit bonkers that I’m not sure that the point of adapting it is. I…
Right, I see where we’re misunderstanding each other. When watching Westworld, I accept it for what it is. I’m accepting the fact that Rachel Evan Wood’s character IS sentient because they have told me that she is. (Maeve’s character, I’m still questioning her actual sentience.) I think you’re arguing according to…
This is good kinja.
In a way I think you’re right. I do think an AI would CREATE some sort of need, but ultimately, we can’t predict what it might be because we’re stuck within the confined of humanity and can’t think outside of that box.
Honest answer - the difference is transparency. There’s an implied message in “gold digger” that she’s FOOLING the man into loving her by pretending to love him when she really wants his money. A sugar baby is upfront about it.
You’re right, but clearly she just used the wrong example, but she’s not actually wrong. There’s a different definition between a romantic relationship and the relationship between a mother and child, which I think you’re well aware of. For example if someone’s husband stopped sleeping with them or stopped providing…
PREACCCCCCCHHHHH sis!
Recently switch from an AppleTV to an Amazon Firestick and I don’t regret it for a second. The remote still has this problem though, so thanks for the idea!
There’s a difference between “robots” and “AI.” Robots wouldn’t care if you abuse them. In and of themselves, they have no capacity to care. AI, if programmed to be human-like would care because humans care. What we shouldn’t do is ever program an AI to be human-like.
She’s so cute!
Totally agree, and that’s likely why I would consider it, but ultimately never do it. My concerns are safety, and also now being beholden to someone else’s time and expectations.
Listen to the podcast (it’s a short episode, so not too much of a commitment). I don’t disagree with you, tbh.
I think I’ve seen that one!
The podcast “Death, Sex, Money” just yesterday published an episode about a woman who is a Sugar Baby to cover her college loans, and no lie...I’m kinda thinking about it...
Totally agree. And you and I are aware enough to see that, but I’m guessing the majority of their fans aren’t as analytically minded, so I guess what I’m asking is - what are the cultural consequences? Are more white women now open to/interested in dating black men? If so, what’s the impact on perceptions of black…
I would LOVE to read an insightful article about the politics/cultural impact/influence of the Kardashian obsession with black men.
I 100% agree with all you’ve said. I’m CONVINCED they had an open relationship. She just wanted a (black) baby.
Yeah, I don’t why this should be surprising?
She’s popular enough to host with Jimmy Fallon. I mean, come on.
