I consistently wish Will Forte had a better ensemble around him. Nobody but Kristen Schaal and maybe occasionally the guy who plays Todd (EDIT: Also STEENBURGEN, HOW DARE I) has the comic energy to keep up with him, and in most cases I wish they'd just go take an extended walk into a volcano.

He's so boring unless he's singing tbh

People won't even watch your shit for free, NBC, what makes you think they'll shell out $4 a month for it?

Jay was much more amenable to getting locked up in their secret Guantanamo Bay for Metahumans than I would be.

It's the remix featuring 'Let's Get It On'.

"Last week a commenter—sorry, I went back and looked for you but couldn’t find you so take credit below, please!—pointed out that William Mapother is Tom Cruise’s cousin…"

I was all set to like this seeing as I love JTV, but I just found it…a lot? Rachel Bloom's performance was mostly kind of obnoxious to me, and the musical numbers were faintly amusing but not musically or lyrically interesting enough to hook me.

I don't really care that much about the love triangle, but I hope Rogelio and Michael never break up. In a show full of rich characters and winning performances, I think I might enjoy their dynamic the most.

I feel bad for laughing :o

Rosa and Terry get hosed the most often as the de-facto straight people.

Alas, I fear I've written too many essays on how JC should have JT's careers over the past decade as it is.

I DISRESPECTFULLY DISAGREE, BRIAN IS AND REMAINS A NATIONAL BOY-BAND TREASURE AND >>>> ALL OTHER BOY-BAND FAVES INCLUDING JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.

Samberg was dialed down to like 20% in this episode, though? I mean truly, the most low-key performance I've ever seen him give on this show.

But he's still a bad cop in a very cartoonish way. They wouldn't even make the Vulture do some of the stuff the NYPD has done in real life, it would be way too dark.

Wash your mouth out omgggggg. Brian carried like 95% of the songs!!

I don't think they necessarily had to, tbh. It's not like people were looking to SVU about their take on the NYPD or anything. It's a TV show, and a sitcom at that. It exists in magical imaginational land.

Honestly, Boyle is a supporting character for a reason. His weirdness was too much for me tonight.

Jake and Boyle singing their made-up detective version of 'My Hunch' to 'My Humps' is one of the most delightful things I've seen on TV this year.

What did Meagan Good do to spite the TV Gods? This is like her fifth show cancellation.

I think so too. I was already getting sick of the meta-ness halfway through the episode, especially since they kept hitting the same beats over and over. Rob Lowe is needlessly dramatic and people around him react in confusion, or for variety, in starstruck awe. It's a conceit that gets tired very fast.
