WELL I LIKED HIM.

I really didn't enjoy the Supergirl pilot, and I'm trying to figure out why. It was obviously trying to emulate the blue-skies tone of the Flash pilot, but I just wasn't feeling it for some reason. They were both cheesy in very similar ways and Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist are essentially giving identical

Yeah, no.

She was a finalist for the new Star Wars movie too which Felicity Jones ended up getting.

It happened to Brooklyn Nine Nine and The Affair too. I think they're three shows that got punished by the Emmys for winning prematurely and not paying their dues or whatever.

Seriously, how do they swing nominations for Matt Leblanc and Don Cheadle every year but can't scrape one up for Eva Green?

Yeah, I don't really even like Orphan Black as a show much anymore because the writing is just so erratic and nonsensical, but Tatiana's performance keeps bringing me back.

Julie Bowen gets x10000 more tolerable on Modern Family if you imagine that the man she left Jack Shepherd's crazy ass for was Phil Dunphy and this is her sitcom life after Lost.

People probably liked the bit he did at the White House Correspondents' Dinner with Obama?

I think she's way better than Anthony Anderson on that show who can be kinda grating and IDK why he's the one that got the Emmy nom between them tbh.

I'M SO HYPED FOR TATIANA MASLANY I CAN ALMOST IGNORE THE EGREGIOUS SNUBBING OF JANE THE VIRGIN.

It has nothing to do with how attractive she is though. Like, there are plenty of hideous/butt-ugly/weird-ass looking people around but I'm not annoyed by them. On the other hand, I am so sure I'm genetically wired on a basic molecular level to be annoyed by Amy Schumer's face even as I recognize that she's decent

I really hate Amy Schumer's face. It's irrational and terrible but I can't help it.

Kevin Hart and the Rock look nothing alike, not all black people etc etc

I didn't even like Fight Club that much so, sure…

I'm still not sold on this show. It's a second-rate Fight Club rip off without the insight or storytelling panache and I'm tired of pseudo intellectuals writing vaguely anti-establishment stories when they don't have anything new or worthwhile to say. Wow, The Man sucks. Our things are controlling us. Being slaves to

Man, I love this thread. Remember the episode where Frasier and Niles start selling caviar on the black market?

I miss well-done farce on my TV. Modern Family tries it every once in a while, but I think it's probably the only form that's served better on multi-cam than single-cam. Something about the energy of the audience being relayed out into the actors and then back again, and playing with the fourth wall against a backdrop

I looooove that episode. Niles pretending to be Jewish (and frequently failing at it) was so perfect.

Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer played fantastic siblings. I'm the type of person that always sees inappropriate chemistry between ~girl actors~ and ~boy actors~, but those two had like negative sexual tension between them (especially when you consider how touchy and huggy Ross and Monica were with each other early
