I thought you fought it so your rich landowners wouldn’t have to pay taxes.

Anyway, interesting to see supposed ‘left-wingers’ and great hopes of the Democratic Party, including George Clooney and Oprah, reveal their true stripes as royalists, and de facto upholders of privilege and the status-quo.
Thanks for the photos @Pie‘oh’Pah and @Bishbah! Yeah - Gina looks amazing! And Donna too. Yeah, I googled right after posting my comment and was surprised to find out Gina and Laurence are separated! (I was struggling to remember what I’ve seen him in recently - then IMDb reminded me that he’s in Black-ish.)
The bigger question is how these events impact the larger MCU.
Except her mother, who seems lovely.
At least it was a good casting choice all that nepotism for all those years was weird.
Kevin is just the worst. The obvious sin is that he’s written so thinly - for the most part his character is driven by being “the gay teen” who calls his dad hot and that’s it. But worse than that is how his character has either just flip-flopped or been slotted into any available space all season, which has had (what…
The best part of this ep was at the serpent uh, barbeque/coronation, when Sweet Pea good-naturedly elbows Fangs in the stomach, presumably right in his recent bullet wound. That was SUCH a cute little gag.
It seems like nobody remembers that the Serpents are a biker gang. Like, last season Jughead actively recognized that his dad worked for a redneck criminal organization. Now it’s like Boy Scouts with a different, but still strong, homoerotic overtone.
Tell the showrunners. They played it as sexy and dark, but it was somewhere between embarrassing and disgusting.
Cheryl in a barrel.
“Back to Basics” when there was only one season before this and people liked it.
They should’ve made Chic Franco part of his Leigon of Doom. I hope he winds up a secret member
In retrospect, marketing a show’s second season as a “back to basics” season is probably a red flag
Archie thinking it was a good idea to threaten a mobster who literally just got everything he wanted is the biggest reminder of him being a stupid kid in this show’s history
I know this episode was very low in quality, but at least it was enjoyable for basically the first time in weeks. I mean, any episode that has its supposed main character break out with a “There’s nothing, like, evil about buying a newspaper” gets an upvote in my book. I mean, it’s hilarious how dumb Archie is.
I still enjoy how once every episode, Hiram or some other adult nearly does a double-take when talking with Archie, but then palpably thinks, “Nah, there’s got to be more to him than that.”
Disappointed but not surprised that Betty’s “you and Archie are the only ones who haven’t kissed” didn’t lead to goddamn Archie and Jughead kissing too.
“I don’t see anything wrong with someone being “just an asexual black character” either. At least SOMEONE on the show would be asexual then.”
