I hate when AV Club articles feature some musician I’ve never heard of.  Who’s Prince?

What’s funny is that the role was originally written for a white actress.

I had 0 expectations going in, and that paid off handsomely when this movie ended up charming me completely. Hell, that “Pocketful of Sunshine” sequence at the beginning laid the groundwork of the type of movie it was going to be, and it was a perfect tone. So glad to see Asian actors getting lead roles these days.

This must be a very good movie if white people are still going to see this, even with the risk of serious bodily harm. (Oh sorry, I meant this to post on “The Onion”)

How, exactly? By becoming the largest slave owner? Which was, basically, his plan?

Think how embarrassing that is for WB and DC. A movie featuring all of their best-known characters get beat in a single weekend by a Marvel character that was hardly a household name (until now).

Let’s also all keep in mind that this is only Ryan Coogler’s THIRD film. As someone born in the ‘80s, I imagine this is a lot like watching Spielberg’s early successes.

Speaking as someone with an acute case of adult ADHD, this 2+ hour movie felt like an hour, and I wasn’t even all hopped-up on goofballs. High praise.

So the alt-right boycotts were about as successful as their Star Wars attempts? I hope they aren’t tired of winning so much.

Those sources were busy telling people it was too dangerous to go anywhere near a movie theater to see any movie this weekend.
