Getting caught in a lie is only a problem if you have some respect for the truth. If your primary discursive strategy is to simply tell multiple lies until no one has any idea what your position actually is, it’s no big deal.

If it was the exact opposite of their goal, the problem would be worse now than it was when they first noticed there was a problem. That doesn’t seem to be the case; the problem seems to be the same now as it was then (accounting for the existence of more uploaded misinformation, of course, which they don’t control).

I like how this has become some kind of caper that everyone has to “solve.” No, no you don’t. It wasn’t a crime; there is nothing to solve. This was the decision within a family between grown-ass men and women. Nobody is to “blame.” No one needs to have been “implicated” in anything surrounding this.

I think it was kind of a combination of the server room incident and the Careful Massacre. My guess the Mastermind took over inside the server room, and watching the CM with Darlene and putting on the mask was when he formed his grand plan and decided to fully take over.
