I honestly think this movie is less meant to be a movie and more an edgelord parade of fan service. 

Zach Snyder’s entire career can be summed up like this:

“Every scene is directed the same way, as though it were taking place on Mount Olympus: A wet mop hits the floor like Excalibur, while a sesame seed plummets for a small eternity during an at least relevantly slow-mo (and restored) introduction for Miller’s neurotic speed-demon rookie.”

“Did we need three whole glorified deleted scenes of boring space invader Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds, unrecognizable in voice and appearance) teleconferencing his progress to a flunky of future franchise heavy Darkseid?”

I only had a vague awareness of it being inappropriate until I read this. I’m not sure if I’ve ever even heard the word out loud. I buy that he was ignorant, but “don’t expect to keep your job if you’re a public figure throwing slurs around” seems pretty reasonable.

Oh I don’t actively do it but its hard for things to not feel different and sometimes even childish. I don’t know if its experience or just the how the human brain gets old but the idea of a CGI anime girl convincing someone to share their eye brows off just doesn’t appeal to me.

Here’s the only part of the equation I don’t understand: Where the actual fuck are the people that give vTubers money getting that money in the first place?

I mean... The edginess of it all was your first warning sign that you might be walking a tight rope on twitch. People shaving their eyebrows? ‘D-Pics’? the ability to temporarily kill the streamer? This is going to attract a very particular brand of twitch chat, and that chat is going to shape the community to one…

Based on the article and my limited viewing of Miko: I honestly don’t see this as the future of streaming or, really, an advancement. It’s just a slightly different flavor with the rigging that’s it.
