Lee’s quote highlights the exact problem with Hollywood quasi-progressiveness: they’re making these (good!) changes because it’s the “thing to do”, but still don’t understand or respect the people such changes are supposed to help.

What fist bump? Cyborg hit the back of his fist.

I’m very excited that Lola Bunny is back!
Because like less and less young people have kids, they can’t afford them. But Instagram followers? Now that’s more urgent to them!
One of those comments that feels like someone is reading your mind. Truly.

Eh, I’m not complaining about the use of other cultures, on that regard they make a good work of portraying them without being disrespectful. I see no cultural appropriation or anything in there.
It is at least to me who live in a tropical country.
Frozen, Coco, Moana, Raya and Luca, for example. You got locations, the culture attached to those locations and that’s the setting for the supernatural/magic/etc to happen in it. I’m probably oversimplifying this, as Raya isn’t a particular setting in Asia, more like inspired per se, nor Luca’s setting is as exotic of…
Honestly, I’m going to watch it, but kind of growing tired of Disney/Pixar’s trend of “Let’s use a exotic setting with a foreign culture our animators been studying where something supernatural/magical happens”.
Well, at least it wasn’t Hallelujah.

Thanks God Mr. Incredible found a second job as CGI He-Man.
Yeah, not that I’m hating it, but if you’re going to go with “cute weird looking aliens for kids” and not using any of the established alien races, then why bother using the Star Trek name at all?
I can perfectly enjoy Woody Allen’s movies, the Harry Potter series, Firefly, Buffy and a long list of things made by controversial people because I’m not a tool and I have a functional brain to separate an awful person from a work I enjoy.
In typical Snyder fashion, it’s another thing that it’s "important" just because he didn’t get to do it before.
It is. It is indeed. :)
