Decent review and article, and I hate to split hairs, but there is no such word as 'em-pathetic.' If a person, character, etc, has experienced or expressed 'empathy' for any other life-form, then they are 'empathic.' To use this new non-word is is beyond ironic, and of course, well, perhaps even: Em-'PATHETIC'….
