I do not like or eat anything sweet. It tastes disgusting to me. Desserts are my nightmares.

Yeah, this is what that reminded me of. That's quite a fandom, I gotta admit it.

Oh shit. I hope those customers don't spoil the season for the rest of us.

I figured, as it is the appropriate response. I just wanted to make sure, because (and this will illuminate my feelings on Kanye as a human being) I could also see him saying something even worse.

Is this in response to:

Rachel Bloom is the most adorable thing ever, and yes, I started Crazy Ex-Girlfriend last night.

And the best song of 2015, even if it's a cover:

My top ten, in no real order:

Not entirely sure how I plan to proceed writing about some of the films I saw at Sundance Film Festival this year (but I will write about at least some of them). But in the meantime, here is a bonus episode of Film Tank where I (along with my co-host) give my opinion on all 19 films we saw without getting into

I've only seen the first four episodes of season one and really enjoyed those, so I can't imagine what I'd think of the show if I actually caught up with it.

Paul Verhoeven's Elle because it seems to be a mix of his more "serious" art (like Black Book) and his trashier Basic Instinct fare. I am all for him directing a story that centers around a woman who stalks and physically/mentally fucks with her rapist, I Saw the Devil-style.

I can make fart jokes too!

It farted a lot. And got a lot of boners. But it also has many other powers, which is part of the fun of watching the film. People are really going to dig that film, and I totally concede that it is incredibly unique and inventive. I just only liked it from afar.

I think it's a mixture of that, and that I just genuinely found it to be a marriage between an admittedly powerful premise and a first time director/not very good actor. I personally think that people are reacting to the story, which is both "true" and timely. Something that a lot of people are not really separating

To answer your first question:

Couldn't. Hottest ticket at the fest, and they only replay films in competition (which it wasn't) on the final day.

You'll be happy to know that Love & Friendship is easily Stillman's prettiest film. Never thought of him as a "director" (mostly just a scriptwriter who directs his own scripts) until this film.

You guys, this is getting out of hand.

Well, it says he also wrote the script, so unfortunately he's responsible for the awful writing, and the bland direction that accompanies it. Even Elisabeth Moss is awful in the film, and I don't say that lightly. Because she's Elisabeth Moss.
