You didn't. I guess I've been thinking about that (admittedly bad) film a lot today, precisely for the reasons I explained above and your piece was a bit of a trigger for me to start to vent. So if anything, it got me to write this. I'm sorry you were the catalyst.

"The worst thing we can do to the recently deceased is turn them into saints. They were human beings, just like you and me, they did wrong and they did right."

I re-watched Boyhood this weekend, and re-watched Lucy this morning.

Yeah, this made no sense to me. That the movie mined that situation with the children for all of the pathos it could muster, but wouldn't even throw a line or two into the script explaining what happened to them (since these characters would definitely wonder).

I mean, I don't think she was a tranwreck or anything (except for that scene I mentioned in my reply to Randy's post), but at a certain point I felt like the actress' naturalism grew into embarrassment of being in the film.

That scene you talked about worked for me, because her unnaturalness went hand in hand with the topic at hand, but I was cringing by the time she was in college. The conversation that she has with Mason's girlfriend in the bar was very uncomfortable for me, because I truly felt like she was "done" with the film at

Linklater's daughter is far from great. She starts out great, but she becomes increasingly uncomfortable in front of the camera. The older Samantha got, the more painful it was to watch the film have to stick with her because of the commitment they made years earlier.

Spoon's new album is a treat.

Sounds good, man. It should be a fun party.

But now I'm out of a job. :-(

Wait, we can remove our own pubic hair?

Not unless Nathan shows up!

Yeah, it's on their main website. Sorry I missed this!

Coherence was everything I wanted it to be, really. Somebody watch it, so we can talk about it. Thanks.

For those of you who don't know, the film Coherence comes out tomorrow to digital streaming/download. Since it is ultra low budget, it will not be around anywhere near where I (and countless others) live. It's 10$ to download, but it's also yours for life. Considering the Primer levels of labyrinthine plot threads,

Who here has watched Farscape and when does it get good, if you don't mind me asking? I've watched two episodes now, and find it pleasant enough, but fairly bland.

No, I do not. But hey, answer a SPOILER question for me, if you can:
