Affro Goes to the Movies

This is kind of freaky, but this is exactly what I was talking about, but just too afraid to say.

Stephen… we need to talk about what are and what aren't appropriate topics of discourse on this board.

No. I still haven't. But I should. /le sigh

Ummm, does Eleven or Thirteen have a background gag as small and great as Virgil randomly not talking for the final 40 minutes, only to be revealed during the film's big reveal that it's because Turk bet him a million dollars he couldn't go a month without talking? No, only Twelve does. "Not sophisticated," my ass.

Ocean's 13 is not bad, but unlike the first two films, it feels very unnecessary. The second one would be impossible to top, though, so I don't blame it for not even trying.

1806 Flags

He didn't mention Mary Hartman in that short list of precursors, and now this article is DEAD TO ME.

"Souvenir Shop/ELAIFF."

Happy Dumb Starbucks Day, everyone!

I will say, that due to its procedural-format, it can be very fun to re-watch. Unlike other shows. So that's not a bad investment. I own 'em.

I'm finally picking Person of Interest Season 3 back up now that I just remembered I never finished it. I forgot how much fun this show is.

M*A*S*H was on CBS.

True, but almost all of those are re-releases and hindsight is everything. The only contemporary 100 there is from a film that has only 4 reviews total. And let me just be the first to rain on everybody's parade and doubt that Boyhood will hold up over time.

But it's only being sold in select Spatula City stores.

"I don't mind the good kind of stupid,"

I don't know… it's so stupid. But I admired the way it used its stupidity.

I'm okay with this.

Which two?!

I liked all those movies better. I wouldn't say i was as taken with it as everybody else, but I own it and very much enjoy it.
