@CockroachMan: Actually, they did that on the remake of MI1. On this second game, they listened to requests like yours and increased the frames of animation on the HD version.

Wow.. looks really good, and surprisingly true to "classic" MK. I wish that they would've taken a shot at using digitized photographs as sprites. I've always wondered how good they could make that technique look nowadays. And even if it looks like crap, it could be a switchable graphics style (a la Monkey Island…

Well, I dunno what you're talking about, but he is MY prince. Here's some comparison shots with the original trilogy, and I think he looks close enough, albeit a bit older, and with more polygons.
