I have to say the comment section of this show is cesspool and is approaching unreadability. 40% of the comments are just attacking the reviewer over and over again with the same 4-5 posters stoking the fire. Another 20% is a select few people talking about and bashing Damon Lindelof/LOST and then engaging in a

I'm starting to become a huge fan of the Jill character. I find her attitude and demeanour about the entire thing very funny. Weirdly, for me she's the comic relief of the show

Trolls are out in full force tonight by the looks of it. I hope AV Club starts banning people who contribute little to the discussion than simply attacking the review constantly on a loop. I like the show and disagree with the review but reading the reviews for the last few weeks for this show, it is obvious that

Was there a vote? Also when and where do these secret meetings of the "greater LOST community" take place where they collectively decide such things?

I think some people are more interested in the narratives of their reactions to someone's work rather than what they are actually watching. For some literally nothing is going to change that fact that they are watching a show or a movie produced X and based on what I said before my reaction to this should by Y and

Who died and crowned you the spokesperson of the "Greater LOST Community"?

Exactly. Teenagers (like people I suppose) come in all varieties. In the show's universe we are seeing what like a dozen teens acting this way out of the entire high school population? I'm sure there are others who are doing perfectly normal things and not teebagging baby jesus (evidenced by half the class partaking

How about you treat the reviewer with a bit of respect? No single viewer is going to catch everything. The point of these reviews and the ensuing discussions is to learn interesting points from one another that you yourself didn't catch. Chastising someone for something "you thought was obvious" is one of the most

It was not an attack, it was a more general comment against the increasingly whiny nature of comments in TV reviews. I have seen numerous such posts over the Leftovers yours just happened to be one I responded to. It was not directed specifically at you but at the numerous posts we read every week that are the same as

Don't think he's supposed do a pure American accent. If you noticed his church had both the American Flag and the Flag of England waiving side by side which clearly implies that Matt spent a decent amount of his life in England which explains his accent/

Boo freaking hooo cry me a river. Either watch it or don't. Don't act like a drama queen on the internet over how much you hate the ending of another show. It's a 55 min a week show, it's not like you are committing yourself to become a nun or donating one of your kidneys, you should be able to make a decision one way

Man is it just me or did this episode give anyone else major Locke flashbacks from LOST? This reminded of many of the Locke episodes on LOST where the poor guy does something acting on his faith and thinks he is about to accomplish something only to have the rug pulled from underneath him by a cruel trick of nature.

I am calm. I'm not attacking Todd or anyone and I don't think my post came across as being aggressive towards him in anyway. Just some friendly exchange of ideas :)

Haha thanks for reminding me. I totally forgot that line

I am shocked to see the grade of a 'C' on this episode. I thought this was easily the best episode of the season. I'm even more shocked at the declaration that 'Asylum' and Season 1 were significantly better than the 'Coven'. I for one can't get enough of the "fun" of this season. Seriously, how can anyone not giggle

I loved Asylum but I think this season is even better. This season has a sense of "fun" to it that Asylum lacked. Too often Asylum fell in love with its misery porn which started to get tiring later in the season. This season has a spring to its step and has replaced the misery porn with sass, which I greatly welcome.

I'm sorry but the Canadian version is vastly inferior to the US version. In the canadian version you have dragons who almost never make a deal and are there for pretty much window dressing. The canadian version is also "American Idol-y" where they have "entrepreneurs" come in, who have no hope in hell of getting a

Isn't there a scene with him and Cersie drinking wine, having a good time and chilling until something happens that brings them to reaiity?

Yeah I think Kingsmoot, Brienne's storyline (she is literally moving in circles), and Tyrion are prime candidates for getting cut. Dany's story is not particularly great but I can see them being able to craft it into a good tv story. Tyrion's story is literally impossible to do as there is so little meat in that

You are right and I was mistaken. It's been a couple of years since I last read ASoS
