Hah yup! I used to go stay with my Aunt in the early 2000s in Atlanta when I was in my late teens and she lived on Paces Ferry Rd in Vinings. Years later when I learnt that Atlanta is mostly black I was SHOCKED. It was mostly just white people in northern Atlanta even around Lennox Mall in the uptown. 

I live in Toronto and Ohio is about 2-3hrs from me by road. I’m brown (from India) and scared to drive through Ohio. Can’t believe such a backward place can exist so close to NYC on one side and Toronto on the other.
