@ithyphallus, bonks morrigan: It depends. If the basic concept of driving bored you, then probably not. But if you like to race and enjoy doing time trials, learning the balance of each car and track etc then you'll love it. It's like an RPG, just without storylines and characters.

I've always been a GT fanboy, but also loved Porsche Unleashed, Hot Pursuit 2 and Rallisport Challenge 2.

I got Forza 3 Limited Edition and my brother got GoW Collection.

I'd be so pissed if I saw this on FIFA 10

Max Power...aka Homer Simpson, would be proud of those plan names.

@Monty: Perhaps. But me and a lot of friends switched to Chrome because of two reasons -

Strange press release. Companies decide on these things internally but they usually never admit to delaying products to not compete.

I'm assuming 2011 is when news of the next generation consoles (probably starting with the next Xbox?) will start rolling out.

@Hikiko: Agreed. Plus a GT game itself can last you almost 1-2yrs so it's not that big a issue to wait 3-4yrs between the games.

Look at the difference. You have the effeminate lead guy for the FF series on the flip side you have the lead guy of Polyphony competing in a 25hr endurance race. So I think it would be unfair to think all of Japan is represented by the FF guy lol.

Wow so now all browsers look like Chrome? That itself is credit to the power of Chrome!

@motang: Wow that is Chrome's twin.

@Orihalcon: I agree with what you're saying actually. But the problem is that they are starting to let the FF series stagnate and just be content with it's brand-name. But that's Japanese gaming in general. It has cycles and the current cycle just happens to be titled in fsvour of the Western developers and the fact

@Orihalcon: That's not the correct atitude though. Game companies can only make games if they make money. They aren't just there to serve their existing fanbase.

I don't play RPGs in general but I think I appreciate the mature, open feel of Western RPGs more so than the kid with girl's hairdo and DDR music that seems to sum up Japanese RPGs.

@toadstoolporridge: I agree. I can imagine the game selling ATLEAST 1 million copies. Dunno if that's enough business sense for them. Heck, just take SSX3 and make it HD. The game was so good for it's time, should be perfectly fine even now, just with 1080p etc

@The Whaleman: Hahaha I totally understand. Infact, I'm trying to get my PS2 back from my relative so I can play SSX3 (I game which I will never give away) again. I wonder how it will look on my new Bravia 40inch hdmi lcd?
