This reminds me of the time I hosted a chess tourney at my house during the Christmas holiday. Lots of folks showed up but they just stood around near the front door talking about how great they were at the game.

I’d be pretty proud of myself if I could play Magnus Carlsen to a draw too...

This is rude and I guess an example of the hostile mob audience but I was literally just thinking how Renata was the single bright spot of NewNewNewTaku. Your pieces had that ineffable mix of a distinctive authorial voice, playful irreverence, and compelling, whimsical meanderings that for me are what make a Kotaku

And they do that with a single driven contact patch.

I wonder what the 0-60 time that will literally kill you is.

It makes anything with an internal combustion engine seem... paltry

I think, rather than trying to use the rockets to directly increase acceleration, they’ll instead be used to increase downforce. Have the thrusters pointing upward (nozzle towards sky, exactly opposite of how a space rocket points), use them to increase downforce during the first part of the acceleration.

Oh, so it makes the same power as the R6 made when the R6 was not making power.

Not much comparison to an R6. This motor is much less powerful. I’m sure it’ll be a blast to ride. It’ll be nice to see this motor in a better chassis than what the MT offered. Plus it’s cheaper and more accessible than the R6 was. This bike is a winner as long as you aren’t expecting an R6.

The thing is, the R6 never really left. It only counted up a number and got a redesign.

Yeah, this seems more like a Ninja 650 competitor than a new R6.

I fail to see how this is the bike for people who missed the R6. A few points according to Yamaha’s website the R7 is only 3lbs lighter than the out going R6. While this is great news as who doesn’t love a lighter bike, my bigger issue is from a power perspective. The outgoing R6 makes around 115-125hp depending on

I don’t invest.

There is a way to write an article critical of Jims decision here, there really is, but this aint that.

There was once a shit poster on Oppo

They went for a drift and tried a Scandinavian flick
But ended up in the ditch
When they tried to egress they were told not to stress

Rory, is this what you want Jalopnik to be? I know that there are still some very talented writers here, who are passionate about the automotive world. It would be nice to see more of them, and less of... This. I don’t like responding to hate with more hate, but if I came across Jalopnik as a new reader and read a

Bradley would of put the bike down if he tried to push it.

Aprilia Tuono 660. $10,499 add quick shifter and IMU as factory option and you don’t even get to $11,900 (the RS660 is $11,299 with IMU and QS)

Totally agree. The Ducati 821 was not on par with the competition but at least you would buy one because of the look. Let’s face it, a lot of riders were buying Ducati monster for the way it looks. Not sure it was the right move from Ducati
