I don’t invest.

There is a way to write an article critical of Jims decision here, there really is, but this aint that.

There was once a shit poster on Oppo
Who liked to drive in snow
They went for a drift and tried a Scandinavian flick
But ended up in the ditch
When they tried to egress they were told not to stress
As Dale and Ayrton reached for their hand

Rory, is this what you want Jalopnik to be? I know that there are still some very talented writers here, who are passionate about the automotive world. It would be nice to see more of them, and less of... This. I don’t like responding to hate with more hate, but if I came across Jalopnik as a new reader and read a

Wow.

This is an incredibly salty take and in very poor taste considering the Glick has been a friend to Jalopnik for years.

Ooh, a mystery! Who is the ghost of oppo?

Not just hateful but hostile

Damn, this could have been a decent article. Talk about how historically teams that have run partial seasons haven’t succeeded. Talk about I’d there really is an economic benefit through advertising. Lots of things to build a decent article off of. But this is just such petty bullshit. What the hell, man?

Right? Even if there was a valid criticism (there isn't, really), this is so confrontational it comes across as personal and petty. I've defended some of these hot takes from this author, but this is some of the worst shit I've seen here

Man, Jim has been around these parts longer than you have, and always been a good dude to talk to. Why are you always interested in the hate train?

Bradley would of put the bike down if he tried to push it.

Aprilia Tuono 660. $10,499 add quick shifter and IMU as factory option and you don’t even get to $11,900 (the RS660 is $11,299 with IMU and QS)

Totally agree. The Ducati 821 was not on par with the competition but at least you would buy one because of the look. Let’s face it, a lot of riders were buying Ducati monster for the way it looks. Not sure it was the right move from Ducati

If someone slapped an MT09 badge on this, would your average rider still think it was a Ducati?

This is financial decision and standardizing frames is a good financial decision. Aesthetically, put the new bike next to an MT-09, in all black, it will be hard to tell the difference (with all due respect to MT-09s they’re good bikes).

Sorry, the design is terrible, and you’re not demanding better from Ducati for being this lazy.

As a current Ducati owner and life long fan, I tend to agree that losing the trellis frame was a mistake; Ducati is an expression of mechanical art that’s supposed to appeal to the visual and auditory senses. So there’s no more trellis frame, dry clutch, single sided swing arm as well as an obvious lack of distinctive

I have been real happy with prime beef (Which at least my Costco now carries).  Reverse sear has been a game changer for me with cook at home steaks.  On par with what I have bought for <$100 in better Chicago steak houses.
