I dunno. I think I could name at least 5 showrunners as bad or worse than Scott Buck. But Inhumans has its work cut out for itself. That's not gonna end pretty at all.
I've been hearing it's about the same level as the other 3 shows and nowhere near as bad as reviews suggest. But some of the sources are known for their contrarianism, especially when they believe any criticisms could potentially be rooted in PC-ness.
This is a pretty good team as is. They just have other stuff going on. But they keep the comic going in the first place. So trying to put print together on such short notice was always going to be a tall order. The main reason it's been so frustrating is we've been right on the edge this whole time. It's like a race…
I figured that the feature had moved to Fridays. But it was hard to tell if I was right. Here I am being super late though because I forgot about it and fell asleep too early.
I only read the first couple volumes. I remember liking it and thinking it was weirdly nihilistic but also highly readable. But I might be thinking of something else. My library only had those two volumes if I am remembering correctly. Not sure if you'll dig it. The battle with insects is pushed as one the leads are…
Yeah. We often travel in the same online circles. But hadn't kept track lately. So I'm glad she's been getting steady work.
Good to see Heidi getting ahead in the world!
Oh good! I'm glad that everyone's been able to enjoy the book even with all the various printing snafus. It seems to be a modest success! The best kind anyone can have and nobody should ever tell me any different!
It's okay! I hope you enjoy it! We're trying to print up at least 50 copies of the first 4 chapters. So if there's any leftover I should be able to sell a few. They're also POD, so it also shouldn't be that big a of problem anyway
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy it!
Yes. Absolutely terrified of the possibility. Don't want to have to do all my comics commentary on /co/. (I just can't do reddit or CBR.)
Oh. I guess that's a massive difference. I don't think propulsive action, being proactive, or being driven or anything else of the sort is necessary to make a story I find engaging or even interesting. I don't even think it's a prerequisite for a superhero story. Heck, I don't even need excitement to think a superhero…
I just need things to be immediately appealing to me and continue to do so. I rarely rank things because there's too many factors. I don't really believe in objective structural and story problems. I only believe in "Can I keep watching this and continue to enjoy it". And I've been able to do that with all the Marvel…
We've got La Boheme in May! Gonna definitely try to make it myself. I'd like to make the Opera a regular thing in my life.
I'm going to have to take this to Twitter and the larger world in general. I'm sure there's an answer out there that already exists. I just don't know where.
I think the problem here is that if they're making a setting from "scratch" like Star Wars which has no Earthly origins in-universe outside of fan speculation. You can say one guy is black and this lady has pink skin, or whatever else and that gets your point across. But how do you describe someone we'd recognize as…
How are we 3 years into Kamala Khan's story and she still doesn't have a rogues gallery? Is this just how current comics operate? Is her comic just trying to eschew such conventions?
Sorry for assuming. You just didn't come across as folks who loved that kind of stuff. I dunno. Like people who'd love Black Dynamite but find any Shaft movie to be just okay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just saying from observing the kind of stuff Kristen says you guys love.
It's not only sounds racist it's also still geographically-based. You really have your work cut out for you there. But I'll think on it.
