Yeah "F 451" was so deeply embedded in my high school's curriculum that the only Bradbury that we had access to were his other spec fic works that mostly contained no fantasy elements. Even the Martian Chronicles stories in our textbooks tended to be the less fantastical ones.

I think it's because to a lot of the public his most recognizable and enduring work is a seemingly-prescient piece of speculative fiction that's taught in a countless number of schools.

I've been researching slasher films lately and was surprised to learn that Hooper was aiming for a PG with TCM. The 70s were a different time.

We've still never gotten around to that Superman: Secret Identity pick that was somewhat popular. I'd like to put that back on the board.

During the most recent Comics Panel I suggested that we start up a pitch fest of sorts. We've been able to maintain a number of other clubs and activities round these parts. Thought another could be fun.

I hope it's something I can get my hands on this month at the very least.

Tuesday's the day of the big move. The excitement has already kinda worn off to be honest.

"Tastes better" is a subjective thing often guided by personal and cultural contexts. There's no universal or objective "tastes better".

I feel like y'all take chili waaaaay too seriously. For me if it's edible and called "chili" that's good enough. I'm extremely flexible. Being that way means I get to have MORE chili. What do I care if it's "real" or made the "right" way? It's as goofy as all those prescriptivist arguments over "real" pizza. Just

I have been surprised by some of the ones that are hitting big. They seem to harken back to the older daily gag strips but seem more personal and less wild. I wonder if we're gonna get a huge boom in personal gag comics on Line Webtoons and Tapastic.

I've been reading again. It's nice to see you're back. You've had some really interesting things to say about the current state of webcomics. It's been rough going for me, but I've had some friends who've had some massive breakout success. Yet it doesn't really feel like the Wild West days where you could basically

I do like spending Halloween with good people. It's the only reason I ever participate in anything Halloween-y at all.

In my hometown there were multiple households where adults chase folks around with belt-less chainsaws while they play sound FX where kids scream in terror and you can hear the sounds of limbs being torn off.

Fantastic. Going to ask this again on Friday to see if we can get a ball rolling here.

It's how he got that ICE endorsement.

Aww dang. I'd want a Lex Luthor For President shirt too.

Would anyway be interested in a pitch fest? I've noticed we've launched a book club and a love fest, a twice-weekly life check-up and an update on what we're currently reading. So this is something I feel could potentially work.

My friend and I are wondering why WB hasn't brought back the Ghoul School. I mean they refuse to let SD lie dormant for anything more than a few years at a time. And going by modern trends Ghoul School couldn't possibly be more in right now. So it's weird that they haven't greenlit some kind of revival.

I'm a person who keeps their lights on at night. Like I STILL do that. So I do most of my scary reading in the day. Even creepy imagery associated with more innocuous fare is enough to keep me up for hours until I just pass out from exhaustion.

I dressed up once for Halloween. I was like 6 years old and the entire time I was thinking "This is stupid" and I never did it again. Whenever I went trick or treating with my friends I dressed in normal clothes and explained to the various people passing out candy that I was the "token minority in the white
