I didn't get the call center job. My Microsoft Word skills are apparently atrocious. But I've got a line on another job that would pay more. It's janitorial work though. But it seems less stressful than call center work.

I live in the Midwest. We have Megabus but you have to hop buses and destinations a lot to get to where you wanna go depending on what city you're coming from. Trains are often around the same price as Greyhound depending on how soon you order your tickets. Planes out of DTW often cost the same amount. It's

I had no idea about this. Mostly because of my fear of trains. But I've seen some crossover into other forms of transport. It's no longer cheaper to take the bus or train than it is to take a plane. And Greyhound has stopped pricing things competitively and even got rid of deals that could save passengers thousands on

They were still closing out the local Fox affiliate at 4AM well into my teen years and I'm only 30. Nobody stops airing nowadays though. And the Fox affiliate was bought out by the same company that runs the CBS affiliate.

I still want dibs on those volumes for sure!

That old saying has never felt truer to me than it has this year.

Thank you!

Whoa! A thirty-five mile bike ride? That sounds intense but also rewarding. Seems like you packed in a lot in one day really.

Gotta take some assessments to land this job in Minneapolis. I'm also frantically writing in order to finish this first draft. I also hooked up two friends of mine in what will probably be a very fruitful collaborative partnership.

I don't actually know that much about Periscope. But if other people have been able to monetize it I don't see why you couldn't.

That sounds like a fantastic book and really worth a read. I should add it to my list. Thanks for the info and recommendation.

Laika fans are really lucky that the studio is run by people who seemingly don't give a crap about actually turning a profit with their releases.

Thanks for dropping by to give me this advice. Means a lot!

And most of those he didn't even write. They were basically folktales and urban legends that he collected.

For some reason I thought you had already known about Periscope.

I won't be seeing it til Tuesday at the earliest. I'm sure I'll probably think it's a mess but not deserving of the drubbing it's getting from fans and critics. I've had a hard time enjoying anything this year though. A lot of the stuff I should've enjoyed just hasn't done it for me. I'm not sure if it's the movies or

Traveling is something I've always wanted to do. So many of my friends do it with ease but they either have family all over the world or super-accommodating friends which helps cushion the costs quite a bit. I never figure out how they afford the airfare though.

I don't think I could do something like that just yet. My resume is so thin right now. But I'm glad to hear Randstand does right by its folks. I'm really looking forward to having actual money again.

Good luck with PopMatters!

What's it like to be back in America again? I've never been further than Toronto.
