We also have a non-functional oven. And a non-functional AC.

I will probably be okay. Just this weekend isn't off to a very good start. I really appreciate your concern though.

I don't live in Toronto. I live in Ohio. I had plans to come to Baltimore Comic-Con, but due to some unseen financial setbacks I'm not sure I'll be able to

I've only started going to conventions. And I've only been to one, TCAF, or Toronto Comic Arts Festival. I'd love to be able to go to others.

Another early one. Hopefully I got here soon enough.

I didn't realize book club had already started. I must've missed that comment a few weeks ago. Hopefully I can jump on for August.

I'd love to see that list.

'WLW-based'? I've never heard that term before. What's it mean?

I'll definitely let others know. One thing I know is that a lot of the community has issues about self-promotion. You basically have to beg them to do it. So they don't really put themselves out there to be discovered.

That is something I'd love to see too. I didn't care for the comic very much, but it was such a massive influence on web culture for a while. It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime kind of deals.

This makes sense and thanks so much for clearing things up.

What I've read of Nedroid is hysterical. It seems he updates so rarely because he only wants to produce a comic when he as a good joke instead of pushing constantly and hoping for the best.

When I used to be included in the comics review game they used to load things on Isuu. But I think they switched over to PDF before they stopped sending previews my way. Because you could read them without having to be online.

You don't have a comic reader that uses the cbz/cbr format? I've found those to be much more pleasant than reading PDFs.

That's such an absurd premise that I absolutely must check it out.

Kill 6 Billion Demons
Demon's Mirror
A Better Place
Grassblades
City of Depression
Freelancer
Agents of the Realm
Namesake
Lackadaisy
Modus Operandi
Paranatural
Henchgirl
Snarlbear

I can't stand reading comics on my laptop. It seems like such a chore. But sideloading to my old-ass Fire tablet is even more of a chore. Hoping to get an upgrade soon so I can really up my comics reading game.

I would like to see more comic features that have a focus on webcomics/self-published comics. They show up every once in awhile around here but not as often as I would like.

This is one of my big worries too. I just want to keep this job long enough to launch a proper career in comics. As a writer that's gonna be a lot harder because there's not much one can do to keep the money rolling. There's not a ton of avenues unless people are actually coming to you for work.

It did start in Texas. So you might have had it where you were.
