Pfft. I wish! I'm starting at the bottom. Off-hours stock. There's a few things there I want myself though. Those video streaming drones are so neat. I would've flipped for those things when I was a kid.

The Flintstones #1 I'm actually surprised by how much I loved this book. It's this dark satirical take on the Flintstones that feels completely in step with the original cartoon and not like some updated parody. And man, some of those jokes are pitch black. Like the war stories they swap down at the lodge punctuated…
Had an interview at Toys R Us the other day and I think it went pretty well. They talked about how there are all kinds of career opportunities there. And you know what, being assistant manager at a Toys R Us someday doesn't sound like such a bad life.
Dang. I know that feeling all too well. That pulsating dread.
I've only read the first two Superman: Earth One books. Are the Batman: Earth One books worth a read at all? Or is it something I could completely skip without losing much?
I used to go to the fireworks all the time but now I just don't feel like being bothered with all the hassle. it's always a nightmare trying to leave downtown afterward even in a city as small as mine.
Thanks so much.
That sounds like a solid weekend. How was The Shallows?
Oh I might actually be able to pick those up next month! You've got a prospective buyer in me!
Glad to hear it!
My weekend was fairly boring. Had an interview at a Kroger on Saturday and mailed off a few things. Sunday was an incredibly lazy day. And Monday I talked to a friend via Google and made burgers and hot dogs to eat.
Yeah I'm glad to hear that you're alright in the first instance.
Got a deadline in a month in a half and I'm pushing myself to get as much work done as possible by the end of July. With the big move coming up I need to make sure I can get everything finished in time even with such a major disruption.
I like how Lex is just so blinded by his own arrogance he could never imagine someone from a podunk like Smallville could be Superman. Even if Clark may have been the only person who truly understood him.
I've lived in Toledo for so long and still have never been to Ann Arbor. It's nuts.
I can agree that the fake invasion thing doesn't really work. I always sort of blur the rest of the story out of my mind. The origin stuff is so wonderful that it elevates the mess that is the back third of the book.
Birthright is still my favorite modern Superman origin. Even if his reasoning for being vegetarian in a universe that has sapient plants makes no sense.
I hear the greatest things about North's CYOA-style comics. So I'll definitely be checking that out if I don't grab it before then. Thanks!
I've been meaning to read Squirrel Girl and still haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe I should pick up Vol. 1 soon.
I should be able to ask you that question by the beginning of next month.
