How's Captain Marvel selling compared to current Ms. Marvel runs? I've been wondering if it's true that Kamala is way more popular than Carol right now.
Those all sound like they'd be worth looking at. I'm going to see what I can find in Marvel Unlimited. Thanks for the explanation!
Chicago does it a lot from what I hear. And LA does it but it's usually the animation scene there. I never really hear about NYC doing it which has always struck me as kinda weird.
I've heard good things about Saucer Country but the one that always sticks out in my mind is that it ended too soon. So I've hesitated on picking it up.
I've never read any Howard runs after the original Gerber. Are any of them worth picking up?
I've always been interested in drink-n-draws, even though I can't draw and I don't drink. They seem like fun places to hang out and meet people. But we don't really have anything like around here.
Thanks a lot! It's got me nervous and excited all at the same time. But I just know it's gonna be worth it.
Big news on the homefront. My collaborator and I have landed a publishing deal. Can't really say much about it yet. But we're making a YA science-fantasy/adventure OGN. I'm plenty excited about it. The only downside is how long it's gonna take to make. We're not gonna see it published until 2019. Whew.
Nothing this week except more Demon's Mirror. I'm almost done with it And it's been quite a ride.
Still reading Demon's Mirror. It's such a long book. I've got over half to get through.

Oh dang. I've known Shannon for years and I didn't realize she was in the running to do an AV Club comic!
I liked early Miles after his first arc it was kind of a diminishing returns thing with me. I don't think he lacks a personality like many people seem to. But I do think he seems to feel more alive when other people are writing.
I think Miles could really click with people if he was under someone else's pen full time. It's a shame he's never going to get that chance unless Bendis dies or gets bored.
I was expecting something more embarrassing for Ohio. But instead it's about one of the state's more relevant and hot button issues.
I really like how Wilson writes Miles. I almost want him to show up regularly just so I can get more of that approach.
Demon's Mirror: this is a webcomic but I've been reading it as a book. The creator, Harry Bogosian, did a limited print run and I was lucky enough to buy one. And $25 CAD for nearly 350 pages was quite a steal. I couldn't pass it up.
Following what the Anti-Monitor said you could also start blogging or podcasting and get press passes!
There's a few gencons nearby. The biggest one being the one in Indianapolis. I've never been to them though. I hear they're fun.
