I saw the title of this article and I was all “Wait, what? Why are we hating Chris Pratt for being the voice of Mario?” and then I find out it’s because of a lot of political BS off-screen.
All of my co-workers were all “No way! Really? That’s awesome!” when I told them about it the other day. No judging, only laughs…

Now that you mention it, you’re right. ME2 IS set up like a heist movie.
By that logic, ME1 is mystery/buddy cop movie, and ME3 is a war movie (big surprise).
I remember watching video game cutscenes on YouTube for games that I couldn’t afford but really wanted to play. Almost half of the context was lost for me most of the time, but I only really realized it while watching Final Fantasy 9's cutscene compilations. I stopped after that, stuck with actually playing the games.
