My partner calls this “Throwing up the T’s and P’s” (edited to add for clarity: “Thoughts and Prayers”). Its perfunctory, done without real thinking, and absolves the writer/speaker whatever from any further obligation. There did the thing that makes me feel better about second-hand survivor’s guilt. You could say

“Thoughts and prayers”, aka, “we’re doing nothing as hard as we can.”

The NY Daily News has done an excellent job on this:

Journalists do important work. But anyone hounding a child (because teenagers are still children) after such a traumatic experience for comment or an interview or image permissions is a piece of shit. Anyone doing this while the event is actively continuing needs to take a real look at their life and wonder how they

We need something catchy instead of #thoughtsandprayers, like votes and calls. Don’t send a prayer, send a letter to your congressman, and threatened to never ever vote for them again unless they pass some comprehensive gun reform. Don’t go to church, take your church to the polls, and then have them register voters,

I’m all for showing the snapchats, videos, tweets, etc... unedited with the cursing, the screams, and the bodies and the blood. Show it nightly. Show it everywhere. Don’t apologize for the content. Apologize for letting it happen. Let everyone see what it’s like to be in a room when an active shooter opens fire, what

“So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed,”

The killing power of a high capacity rifle far exceeds that of handguns. To say that we should ban only handguns and not AR style weapons completely ignores what they’re capable of. Not all killings are done with AR style weapons, but all mass shootings seem to feature them prominently. Between the Pulse nightclub and

I ended up with counterfeit Dermalogica cream from Amazon & which I didn’t realize until wearing for 2 weeks & my skin looked like it was on fire - wrote a truthful review stating it was counterfeit & Amazon rejected (the only review I have ever had rejected.)

Let’s not forget, Trump is spewing nonsense about mental illness, when he himself signed a bill revoking Obama-Era gun check for people with mental illness.

My parents came to this country undocumented, looking for a better life for themselves and for my siblings and I. We did not leave a sh*thole, but we certainly arrived at one. This country, America, is one of the most violent, inhospitable places on earth. And now the racist citizens are trying to send us back. Well

No. Shut the hell up Trump. He was not mentally disturbed. He tortured and killed animals. That is one of the big flashy signs that he was a psychopath. The other was he actually went into a school and took the lives of 17 people and didn’t kill himself. That means he shows no remorse and just simply doesn’t care.

Sorry, people are shady and disgusting. And for something like makeup, which is impossible to disinfect, you should not be able to return in. But if a makeup is high-end, then they should have enough confidence in their product to make tiny testers. Just enough so the client can get a feel for it, not enough for them

Same, I won’t touch Amazon for make up. I was about to order some pre-natal vitamins from them as I hadn’t had time to pop by the local pharmacy (which is conveniently open from 8-5:30, which happen to also be my working hours). I scrolled down just to have a skim of the reviews, and almost all of them were

Unfortunately cosmetics in this country is one of the least regulated consumer areas. The FDA doesn’t really set limits on ingredients and safety and such for makeup, so I’d be really surprised if they have regulations for how stores deal with used product.

I don’t understand why Amazon doesn’t understand it needs to get a handle on its counterfeit problem. There’s whole catagories I won’t buy from them, cosmetics is just one.

It’s probably a class action suit for damages and pain and suffering. Starbucks got sued not too long ago because they weren’t filing up their cups all the way. It’s like a false advertising thing, if they’re not straight up saying it’s refurbished stuff.

I used to work for both ULTA and Sephora, I was a manager at both companies. One of my duties was doing damages. My team and i would throw out thousands of dollars worth of products every week. Sometimes it wasn’t used, a lot of it was counterfeit, but it all went into the trash. I was a germaphobe so when in doubt I

I bought a tarte color corrector concealer thing for my mom from ulta. When she opened it it was completely used up. They obviously let me return it but now I’m completely sketched out.
