In the book he had a hook, which I think would be much more dashing, though harder for Claire to pat regretfully.

Thanks!
I agree there was too much to do in flashback, especially with the new characters (John Grey, everyone at Helwater, Joe Abernathy, plus getting a closer look at Brianna and Roger). And now everything is (mostly) about just moving forward for these two crazy kids.
There were some pacing issues with that sequence, I agree.
Ah thanks, you are right - 40s not 60s. I’m getting ahead of myself!
I haven’t unfortunately, but they are great in the main series!
In the episode they portrayed him as very clearly fucked up from the battle.
I don’t know, I think focusing more on the aftermath of their split was a good way to go, over dwelling (yet again) on BJR.
The jokes and puns in here are on POINT tonight! So many LOLs.
He had to make one last play for Sansa’s emotions, it’s in his DNA.
That was one of many fun little nods across the fourth wall this season.
That was a great callback!
Starred for Tormund! I have hope since they didn’t specifically show his death. Maybe he can find his way to Castle Black and send a raven or something. Or maybe Bran’s crow buddies can fly them back to Winterfell!
THIS.
Prime Video is coming to Apple TV!? Yay! Finally!
Not really a put down, but I loved when mass destruction started happening and Matt got down to cover Jessica and she just said, “Dude, get off me!” (or similar)
That was hilarious!! My man Foggy!
If Matt didn’t die, I guess Misty gets a pass too. ..?
I believe there’s a shot where we see Claire tying a tourniquet. It’s not obvious, though.
The transition to rap was jarring, I remember it taking me out of the moment, in the midst of all those cool continuous camera tricks.
