I just can’t do it anymore. I no longer have patience for Japanese games. They’re a different breed all together in the world of video games. They’re too slow paced for me and the graphics, although modern always have this outdated 90's quality to them. If you like them then more power to you. They’re just not for me

Just say “trolls” because all of us stuck in the greys aren’t trolls. You can check my comment history to confrim that, but this site still hasn’t ungreyed me because I guess they don’t think I’m not white or something.

Amy Schumer, come get your racist sister.

So is it going to pull suicide data? or better yet Heroine overdoses since it just surpassed gun deaths in the US.

It’s funny because gun related deaths have been declining for the last decade, but we like to pretend like the situation is only getting worse for some reason. And let’s not forget that the number one population that is effected by intentional gun deaths are gangbangers and criminals. How sympathetic do you feel when

“I am completely confused about who all these people are and feel no connection to either Geralt or any of the secondary and tertiary characters.”

I see. You’re talking about it deconstructing other fantasy WRPGs and video games, with which my experience begins and ends at the Dragon Age series. So I have no idea if it’s different there, but it wouldn’t make much difference to me if it was.

No, there’s not much to set it apart from a standard fantasy setting. According to my son, I’m roughly halfway through the game (just started the islands that are Scandinavian Scotland with the serial numbers filed off),and I haven’t seen anything that’s a “deconstruction” of a fantasy trope. It’s generally darker

After being pestered by everyone I know to play the Witcher 3, I finally gave in and started it.

that’s not irony. that’s just bad taste.

It is terrible, actually. Maybe not in the way that they portray the main characters, but rather how they portray all of their side characters. Rose, Holdo, Leia, and Luke all have nearly zero character growth and exist solely to challenge or question the main protagonists’ motives and resolve. They have no arc on

What are you confused about?

What I don’t get is the polarization on this movie. It was neither as great as all its defenders claim, nor as horrible as the neckbeards claim. It was pretty good in large chunks while it had some extremely questionable plot/writing decisions in other areas. Everything with Luke/Rey/Kylo worked, and almost everything

Jesus.
Fucking.
Christ.

Everyone involved in this deserves nothing but worst things in life.

You know, some people also didn’t like The Last Jedi because it’s a structurally questionable movie with some bad writing and underdeveloped (or underused) characters.

Ah yes, the well known Russian movie studio that makes films about grime-covered soldiers piloting aerial drones in techno-industrial cityscape warzones!

good for them

“Happy” is the death of drama for genre fiction. The fight for inclusion for all historically marginalized groups shouldn’t result in happy endings. Boring stories are happy.
