He didn’t decide, there was no reason to kick Thiel off the board. Theil is under contract and did nothing to violate that contract. It probably wasn’t even brought up in the board meeting and if it was, it was laughed at.

That’s not how the tech world works. I’ve gotten jobs by showing my fucking github account. In person interviews involve problem solving on a white board. There is no bullshit “I really like this guy” or “he had a nice suit” all the money in the world will get you good programmers but it won’t get you a programming…
