First of all, the majority of guns involved in Chicago crimes are not legally registered firearms. They come in from states like Kentucky and - wow - OHIO! - where gun laws are obviously more lax. If we had some federal standards, maybe we could actually save some lives.

I was at a friend’s barbecue recently, and there were people there who didn’t know me or my kids. One of the people I’d just met observed me with my three year old and remarked, “wow, you really don’t talk to her like she’s a baby, huh?”

Sadly, most restaurants actually do not have changing tables (at least in my experience raising two kids in a major city). I used to work for a restaurant group and argued mightily with the owners about putting changing boards in the bathrooms. They declined. And they had kids!

Because it was pee, I’ll give you a pass.
