My husband couldn’t wait to get home the other day and tell me that our three year old had happily informed their lyft driver that “Donald Trump taps phones.”

I probably should have been too young to appreciate or understand it, but 1) I was wise beyond my years and b) it just so happens to be a perfect movie. Still one of my favorites.
Thank you so much. I suppose it’s kind of ironic that I would experience some guilt for not participating, because as a go-gettin’ feminist I’ve misled myself into thinking I can do it all, when in reality it was an awful tragedy that reminded me I can’t. This is really one of those mommy blog moments of putting…
Thank you so much.
It’s probably my old school women’s guilt that is getting me more than anything, but part of my reason for sharing was to try and release some of that. I’ve been surrounded by love and support, and I think that matters more than a march, so for that I’m grateful.
A friend texted me last night to ask if I wanted to March with her, and as someone who usually has my finger on the pulse of this type of stuff, I felt pretty embarrassed that I had no idea what she was talking about.
My work partner knows exactly how valuable I am, and hasn’t given me a moment’s grief over the several days I’ve taken off over the last few weeks while suffering a devastating second trimester pregnancy loss. And although one could argue that I should be marching/striking to support the fact that the situation I am…
Nice super long response there.
Is that a trick question?
Um the whole starting point of this comment thread was her criticizing Beyoncé’s form of feminism, and then acting bewildered when people did it to her in return. I’m not arguing that Emma is right or wrong, or positing which of them is the “better feminist,” so let’s just keep it neutral, shall we?
But doesn’t evolving include acknowledging your own bias and participation? Emma’s “what’s the fuss” attitude allows her to pretend like she never made comments criticizing another woman’s brand of feminism.
He stole this look head to toe from MY dad.
My mom worked alongside all the administrations of the last 25 years (retired during Obama’s second term) as an education policy writer, and did a lot of work with the Clintons in particular, and still goes on about “Slick Willie’s” magnetism. She still gets a little feverish.
And yet...and yet! Can they at least blame the twistedness of the electoral college for his election? Nope.
You really think 45 and ICE are providing relocation assistance? I have this really fabulous bridge to sell you
You lose your job in the real world if you harass or assault someone, especially at your job. Being an actor is a job, just like being a school teacher or an engineer or a jewelry store manager (to reference some recent newsworthy stories), or at least people believe you should. Why should any female worry about their…
The first thing I said to my husband as they walked through the doors was, “oh damn, that guy got stuck carrying his wife’s purse into the Oscars!”
Omg, and he was like the FIRST one to realize something was wrong!!
They haven’t lived in it for so long, odds are it’s been professionally staged at this point. It’s fancy, yes, but also lacking that lived-in character and intimacy. But the kitchen...ooohhh, the kitchen. I usually hate celeb kitchens but I’ll take that one all day.
And who wants to eat at a dinner table 2 feet off the floor?!
