Peanuts was more a case of adults in children's bodies with adult problems and thought processes. It wasn't intended to be funny.

This will be interesting to say the least, given that all previous animation of Peanuts on the screen for audiovisual purposes had been under former Disney, Warner Bros, and UPA animator Bill Melendez (who passed away in 2008 just shy of 92). I hope it catches the feeling of the Peanuts crew as well.
