There is a time and place to be crass, the headline is not really it. The newer crop of writers are treating the site like a personal blog and it sucks. I have actually talked to some writers/bloggers I know and they all have the same negative opinion about Gizmodo and its sites now. When Gawker died the place turned.

It is becoming a problem, isn’t it? I love reading things on this site, but it’s really taking a negative turn lately.

Speaking as a huge Jalopnik fan, the tone of this article is honestly unbecoming of this site. I enjoy a bit of snark, this just comes across as mean-spirited.

You’re no more “stuck” there because your passport expired than you are if it gets lost/stolen and you have to go to the consulate or embassy and get a new one. So, really not stuck at all.
