I was going to say that there aren’t many choices other then a G70 if you want a new RWD manual sedan.

The four weeks between the two posts make a lot more difference than the different authors. Just look at a graph of new cases: Steady throughout most of August, slowly decreasing since then. A month is a long time when recommendations can change on a daily basis.

I would be ok with tacked on screens if you could remove them. The current Miata is a prime example of a well designed dashboard completely ruined by a screen.

I’ve never understood that viewpoint. Maseratis look good, sound great, and depreciate fast. They’re not much less reliable than their German rivals (which isn’t saying a lot...), but that depreciation curve leaves more left over for repairs. A Maserati sedan is pretty much the ideal second car for someone who dailies…

Think of it like a kickstarter for a car.

Seeing as the S-Class coupe has been the ugliest car on sale for several years now (especially from the back), I will not miss it, no matter how good it was as a car.

‘This conspiracy theory is true’ is the basis for hundreds if not thousands of games. It’s a no-effort story that is easy to build a game around. Ubisoft in particular does it all the time (the entire assassins creed universe, for example).

Seems kind of silly when the regulations are specific enough to ensure that all the cars look pretty much identical anyway.

I guess it’s a language thing? Upset is a synonym for disappointed. They’re both a really long way from ‘angry’. Somewhere in the range of ‘I don’t care at all’, ‘that’s dumb’, and ‘maybe I should ask somebody about it’. Nowhere near the range of ‘throwing a tantrum’.

The big picture is made up of little pieces.  Just because one piece is a lot bigger than the others doesn’t mean the others don’t exist.

Nobody said it was the biggest problem or even a problem worth caring about. But it’s nonsense to say you aren’t disappointed you didn’t get a raise this year.

You’d still be upset if you couldn’t do something you planned on for years.  The why is irrelevant.

On the other hand, if you saved up for fifteen years in order to buy a new Corvette with cash, it’s totally understandable to be upset that you are finally ready and you can’t buy one through no fault of your own.

Price and/or depreciation, that’s why. When i bought my Eclipse, it was somewhere around $12k, a 350Z with similar age and mileage was pushing $20k.

I had one of these for a few years, it wasn’t a terrible car. Sounded decent for a four cylinder, had way more space than I needed, was reasonably nice inside, and nothing important broke between 30k and 130k (until it got rear-ended and totaled). Given the general public’s infatuation with unnecessarily large cars, I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if most of us are driving around dumptrucks with a bunch of seats in the back by the time autonomous cars show up. We’ll have plenty of space for stuff inside.

Urban sprawl isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

I’ve always tied Mercedes to sedans, not coupes. For the past twenty years their coupes and convertibles have just been hideously ugly jellybeans that are neither practical or sporty. (excepting the SLR, SLS and AMG-GT, which all look pretty good).
