    Hi.
    aecheyeperiod

“themes of familiar honor, moral duty, and dynastic corruption,” Do they mean “familial?” We’re all familiar with the play.

Nationalism and team loyalty are a lot alike. Both count on a constituency of the blindly allegient. They reinforce one another.

Or Trump wants a second go with his own failed start-up, the USFL. Yep, they keep trying.

“The Big Bang Theory shows no signs of slowing down, adding its own spin-off, Young Sheldon, this year...” -Wait. A spin-off, is, like, in the top five all-time signs of a sitcom slowing down.

He’s not the actual Spider-Man. Spider-Man doesn’t constantly repeat his catchphrase like he doesn’t know how to turn off the “sent from my iPhone” automatic salutation. The actual Cookie Monster, on the other hand, used to comment pretty often on discus. Cookie?

Either Muschietti or McLevy don’t understand what “agency” is because junkies don’t tend to have much of it.

The director wants to give the only black character more agency by making him a junkie. Ooooookayyyy.

Do Millennials remember the 80's? Some of them weren’t alive til years after it ended.

I’m at the tail end of Generation X and was the age of the characters in the movie during the years it takes place. So do you mean “Because Xennials”? If they were blatantly aiming for the Millennial nostalgia sweet spot, wouldn’t it be set in ‘98-’99?

It's sort of fascinating how people can be so wrong-headed. And it's fun to laugh at them.

It is surprising. I guess they figure power is power, and who cares what people think?

So if black people have less money than white people, it's okay to care about them less? If the conclusion one comes to is that they're lucky capitalism cares about them at all, one is possibly an asshole.

Rich white guys indifferent to racism? Yeah, whoever heard of such a thing!! (One reason) capitalism sucks is that if the primary reason you're doing a thing is for money, even if it's a good thing, it's not really a good thing. Not in the end.

The necessity of working within a corrupt system does not validate the system. Or maybe it does, and we're all fucked. MLKjr was speaking out more specifically against the capitalist anti-union movement than anything when he got shot. And now corporate America celebrates him as a hero, as long as black people can

    It's making me sad.

Is he a Nazi now too?? Is Everyone a Nazi?! What is happening??

Why are sculpted eyebrows harder to believe than perfect teeth, in a preindustrial fantasy? They shouldn't be, but they are.

As a child of parents who should have divorced, I say good for that kid.

But yeah, he's always lied. Hell, maybe he's always had dementia. He's certainly never been smart.

And least they're finally acknowledging he's now.
