The media is not telling you the whole picture. I often check regularly Climate re-analyzer which uses the same data from the NSIDC... often to laugh at the dilutional media stating the artic is melting (is not) and all the associated BS about climate change. https://climatereanalyzer.org/clim/seaice/

That’s the 40 ~ 70% concentration ratio (as shown on the picture I posted and only at the edges) , not the 100% which means solid 1 meter think everywhere as far as the eye can see.
