I was watching it at 3am because I had insomnia, and I did fall asleep. So, win! To bother watching the half(?) I missed? Reckon not.

With respect, I disagree about these particular contradictions. Others, yes.
Better still, they could decide whether they're going for autistic or sociopath, and do it consistently, rather than randomly pick'n'mixing from a grab bag of conflicting traits.
I assume it also burned their hair off, and they were wearing wigs for the next few months.
Completely. In S3E3 I immediately headcanoned that although he raised a gun, it would turn out actually to be a trigger-happy military guy who took the kill shot. (Briefly) delighted this time to think they'd seen sense and fixed it.
No happy endings for fictional f/f couples. But as long as Reese dies too, I'll let them off the BYG trope.
How about a far-future VR simulation of the characters? I'm thinking last ep of Session 4 of Bab 5, Canticle for Leibowitz stuff. Now that was an ending.
Sarah could pass as a Londoner. Her accent is pretty similar to mine. Even down to the slight North London twang that sometimes gets one confused for an antipodean.
I may have to procure screengrabs of Root in tie/waistcoat and Finch in pyjamas. For reasons.
If there really must be romantic subplots at all, the only long-term romantic pairing I'll accept for Watson is Mary Morstan. (With a preference for not genderflipping her.)
I genuinely had no idea there was anyone who found Foggy remotely appealing.
Walternate
If I was forced to pick one character from this show to marry, it would totally be Elsbeth.
She's welcome to bring Finch along too, once poly marriages are legalised.
Like Sherlock, I abhor the typical.
Unfortunately I also abhor romantic subplots.
I agree with you entirely - her character got short shrift in how it was written in terms of inner life / complexity, and notably compared to the male characters. Hopefully she'll get given a bit more character later. I think her whacking the MF into dunes and buildings when she first tried flying it was supposed to…
They drive while drunk because they are selfish assholes who don't really care about the potential impact of their actions on anyone around them, as has been demontrated many times. It's an asshole thing to do* regardless of whether you hit someone and/or get caught. Cab or walk it. No sympathy. Same for Cole, some…
I don't think she was written with any more Mary Sue characteristics than Luke was. But he doesn't called a Marty Stu because hallowed classic status of films / different expectations of male characters.
Seemed like she had to sell all of each day's catch in order to get a meal. How many days without eating to find the parts to construct something useful?
Are you sure that's not just because she was a hero and you normally only cast actors with English accents as evil characters? ;-)
I did see it but don't remember the others you mention well enough to compare, so happy to bow to your expertise. How do you think her skills stack up against Luke's?
