I like the idea that Don is just that petrified of being caught that his fears are like those of a child. The grown-ups will call the president on me!

Well, they would tuck the other half of the medallion in a bucket in the forest room somewhere so you could, in theory, complete a half and live to get stuck in the foam peanut room.

…so she's superfluous now? That's alright I suppose, because it makes it ok for me to be annoyed with her.

I figured it was because the kid had to build the monkey facing away from him or her. It's easier if you can see what you're doing? Plus there was that tricky metal dowel rod with the head…

So that's why he never removes the helmet!

But then some poor kids would successfully put the monkey together, but not "lock it down." Like it's hard enough to have music and crowds and potential dancing temple guards clawing at your medallion-ed self, but you have to make sure you press down hard enough after you built that stupid statue…love it.

It was always The SHRINE.OF THE SILVER. MONKEY!

I wonder if Clare would let Victor "improve" his looks. He seems to take a delight in making Victor uncomfortable, making him see his work. At the same time, he desperately wants to fit in to society. The one time he put on stage makeup it was disastrous, and since Clare is extremely short-sighted I couldn't see him

Just rereading it makes me smile - see? :D

Manslaughter vs. Murder, yes?

He's just in a good mood because his creator reanimated a woman for him. I imagined that scene would have been a lot less optimistic if he wasn't thinking about his new "mate."

I was convinced they wouldn't actually show Evelyn slicing into a baby. I said, "No way would any show have something that awful oh hey look they're going to just do that. Ok. Blech." I'm not sure if I'm actually ok with that - it made me really uncomfortable. Debatable if that makes it good television.

"Kill the son…" Well *SPOILER* I think Penny Dreadful took care of that :(

I know she's "learning" from Littlefinger, but he just left her in a terrible location. And until now, she might be a passive learner/listener, but she's also been a tool used by everyone, and she's done whatever she's told. I'm not convinced anything good is going to happen to Sansa, because she just keeps her head

Can we at least use "That's what she said?"

Homemade ice cream?

Fair point - I just thought that it made for an odd scene.

Or give Murtagh some of the quarterly rents - I mean, that's 25% of the income for the entire household! I guess I'm still bothered by that lol.

The movie is extremely cute too. Great fluff piece for a popcorn night.

Maybe to save her dress from stains?
