It's a change of policy after the debacle that was The War over Brunch.

In his review, Anthony Kane said during his screening a man stood up an applauded that scene. He applauded it and he meant it! Do you want to belittle that man's joy? DO YOU?!
I am not going to check to see if I'm correct, but my earnest guess is:
1. The Dwarves
2. The Elves
3. Laketown
4. The Orcs - to include prong-handed orc
5. Smaug/Necromancer
Random thought - perhaps it's the CGI sheen / lack of respectable physics which makes The Hobbit movies more kid-friendly. The comments point out all the visceral LoTR scenes, and the lack thereof in The Hobbit. When I saw the first Hobbit movie, I was willing to let a lot of nonsense slide because it was clearly a…
There was no set-up for the rock giants - which is why they came across as so unbelievable. I imagine it didn't help for those who hadn't read the books, either, to see a new creature show up who hadn't been in any of the previous movies.
Exactly! It's like I tell my students - if you're going to cheat, cheat to beat me. If you cheat lazily, not only will I catch you, I will respect you even less for your lack of effort.
Sounds like the whole thing is going to be strangely timid. If you're going to translate a religious work, then make it fearlessly faithful!
I thought this was ok - I'll agree with a B-range grade, though maybe not the "+"
I'm a little tired of the riff on "Key/Peele goes crazy while Key/Peele runs commentary" scenes - the Mafia scene, the Brain Freeze Scene, Loco scene, etc. They're funny, but I was mindful of seeing the same set-up multiple times.
I think it would have been better if it were shorter. Or, set up as maybe two or three brief cuts throughout the episode. As it was, it just kept going beyond where it was amusing.
Eh, I could make the argument, but it would take some work. I think it's not a feminism thing, but a lazy joke at the expense of a stereotype thing. Whenever these guys do drag I feel like the caricatures come screaming to the front.
Longer seasons!
He also wore slippery shoes - he was skidding all over in that sword fight. Ras was clearly wearing Sorels…
See, I get shirtless - no armor, no hidden weapons. I guess maybe he didn't want to be all sweaty under his layers, since it would give him a chill?
I'm one of the reverse-Flash people - that is, I started watching Arrow after the crossover with The Flash. Good stuff!
I thought it was a different flight - and because that flight attendant was on Jess' team, he got things worked out.
Now you're 20th!
"The sky is too fickle. It's the playplace for butterflies."
That was one of my favorite lines tonight, amid a bunch of really wonderful lines. The whole cast just meshes so well, the throwaway lines are just beautiful.
It looked like the stolen device from earlier in the episode - that's why I thought he was the villain proper, and not an accessory to some other villain. So yes, it would be the tachyon prototype.
I loved all the forward momentum in last night's episode! There were so many little touches which worked to build the story to a satisfying climax. His talk with Joe was handled so wonderfully, and added another layer of real emotion to their relationship. And I'll echo the reviewer that I'm glad Barry has finally…
For it is, it is a glorious thing to be a pirate king!
