Yup, I worked at a parts store all through college. Almost daily somebody would come in looking for parts for their chevy escort, honda camry, toyota civic, etc. You be amazed how little people know about their cars. Ask them what engine their Ranger had they would say “the V8 of course”.
Have you ever seen a clean nardo-grey Audi (flat grey) on the road? It’s stunning. What appears like a boring color is really actually pretty unique on the road.
Anyone putting a luxury option package on a M3 CS isn’t interested in a hot-rodded Miata. They’re shopping it against the top AMG and Porsches. Its a status thing. Someone looking for top performance wouldn’t want a useless package that adds weight.

it’s not a problem to put it in, well besides emissions and economy... and its dangerous... and it would cost a fortune and thermal management would be a nightmare. but aside from those reasons i can't think of a single one.
