This is an incredible false equivalency. Kudos to you, buddy.

None of whatever this response is takes away from my point that the decision if and when to parent impacts one’s economic stability/mobility, so, um, whatever you say fam.
Because deciding if/when to parent has a major impact on a woman’s (men too, but especially women) economic stability/mobility. One’s socioeconomic status is probably one of, if not the biggest indicator of where they will end up in life.
Y’all, I have feelings about this. I know they’re irrational AF but I’m in mourning.
Sadly, I’m not surprised by this and you are absolutely right. Terry’s identity as a black man carries with it a loaded definition of masculinity.
What I find particularly interesting is how I haven’t seen anyone question what Crews’ was wearing or if he was drinking...
Ok, so I was amused by this, but also lowkey irritated and grossed out. Let me tell you why:
If you feel embarrassed or scared to admit that you voted for Trizzy, well then... **sips tea**
My first introduction to Kara’s work was unexpected. I went to the Fort Worth Modern on a required solo trip for a basic ass Art Appreciation 101 class and her antebellum silhouettes just so happened to be on exhibition.
Katya was robbed in All Stars 2.
This was my thing: if it was a situation that she “didn’t know enough about,” then why speak on it in the first place?
Meh, fuck Miley “I wanna try on blackness for a bit” Cyrus.
The response from the crowd is why I’m completely indifferent when a cop dies in the line of duty. Sucks for their family I guess, but I genuinely don’t care. They’re all part of a broken system and when the “good ones” start speaking out en masse, then I’ll care.
As a more than 40 lbs overweight person, hearing people like Shannon talk about their weight gain, as if it’s the literal end of the world is so irritating. The way she talks about herself at this size is very telling of what she thinks of people that are bigger.
Wow, I’m genuinely surprised. Thanks for the link!
Hmph.
Once again, what purpose does your comment serve to acknowledge that “race had something to do with [my] situation” and then offer a completely non-race related analysis of what happened. Do you not see that your comment adds no value whatsoever?
What purpose does it serve to acknowledge that yeah, race may have had a role in my being paid less than my cohorts, then play “devil’s advocate?”
This reminds me of an annual review I received at an old job that came with an annual merit increase in pay. I was one of 2 or 3 black women working in this department, and I had been promoted from a lower department. I got a raise when I came over, so I was happy.
