I think Ron’s out to take it out on every single academy kid all because his prodigal son had enough and flew the roost to Brackley.

they actually got a new sponsor?! I think I read on James Allen that sometime last year Johnnie Walker had made a pretty good offer to be the title sponsor for Mclaren, only for Ron to consider it derisory. Now Johnnie Walker are pulling out and Ron is struggling to get near the money they had offered. All because of

They do already, just that this’ll cause more cringe amongst the teams. He’s such a polarising guy Bernie. I kind of want to know what F1 will be like when he eventually goes.

Oh god, this’ll have loads of folks in the paddock wincing.

very well put

So glad someone brought this point up. Seems a bit unfair to deny a third of the worlds population to reap the benefits of industrialisation that the very same developed countries went through earlier.

Out of curiosity, why do the smoke stacks tend to be split between two separate ones on vessels of this size? Is it to do with redundancy of some sort?

Does this mast still have to be this tall to this day? Guessing it’s primarily to help all the gubbins mounted on it work better but it still feels like it harks back to the main masts of yore.

Now that I think about it probably why the pitcrew have full face masks/helmets (though it never is uniform-I imagine I’ll find a correlation with the tyre guys).

Amen, I agree entirely. This is such a shame and to put the Baku GP on that weekend is such a collossal dick-slap to what is probably one of the most prestigious races on the planet. Who are they kidding, Le Mans is right up there with Monaco for pete’s sake in terms of what the race means, heritage and what a win can

Timely piece given Sainz’s recent brake failure on Sunday. I wonder if there are any adverse effects for pit crew when you see the brake dust puff out at pit stops.

I swear when I was scrolling past my initial thought was some AMG black type mod of a C class.

that splitter is ludicrous. This whole car looks lethal. But it’s a Volvo..

These chaps seem awfully close and unprotected for whatever warranted the big white hazmat suits in the foreground

wonder what this small chute is for

Not sure if this is just to prop it up for assembly but it seems to have wheels at the back but no forward landing gear.

Considering how much of a step change the original Veyron was at the time of it’s inception, it’s unsurprising they lost money on each one as they must have spent an astronomical amount developing it. But I’m sure the value came from some of the development for the Veyron trickling down to other brands in the group.

I’m amazed how pristine and creaseless their white shirts were! And pleased to see a Megadeath tshirt thrown in for good measure.

I will admit all those vents made me think Mansory as well.

Heck I remember prior to the first Indian GP the training manual for marshals. I only missed out on selection because of dengue fever.
