POGO must be one of the best govt acronyms I’ve heard in a long while. It almost feels like it belongs in the Bond universe or Man from UNCLE.

Ah makes sense. Squadron of C5s can’t have double digits I guess. That’ll be overkill. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fixed number
Ah, I was wondering if that was the case. Makes sense then. I was thinking that was a lot of pilots for the number of jets to a squadron. Incidentally, how many jets do you need to count as a squadron?
great video! thought it was rather amusing to see the personalised tea-cosy type covers on the headsets of all the ATCs.
on an unrelated note, the ship, P571 shown in the first video, what type/class of vessel is it?
Interesting, something along the lines of Brazil using Super Tucano’s IIRC (on a lighter note I need a notepad for all the military acronyms). Similarly I wonder what sort of counter insurgency the Aussies are fighting against? That roo population must Really be getting out of hand.
Fantastic article. The Yak almost looks pudgy due to it’s short length, you can really see the size difference when it’s compared to the Su30! It’s an interesting concept though, using trainers as light fighters. I’m sure it makes a lot of sense really, a lot like the article Tyler once wrote about Brazil’s high-low…
Oh I didn’t mean the Polaris per se. I meant stuff like the weird hybrid carrier battleship you posted above.
wow indeed. I swear some zany ideas came about during the Reagan administration.
omg this was an actual concept?! It’s almost like the Soviet missile cruiser/carriers such as the original Admiral Gorshkov
wonder where the BAE Hawk fits into all of this.
Of course, I figured the two engines would definitely account for the added heft. I think ultimately my reservations might stem from the change to the proportions. Still I find it interesting the almost modular approach Boeing is taking to add ons for its products.
India? Really? Was there ever a chance?
true, their passenger vehicle foray was quite a shit show, what with the complicated JV with renault to sell the boxy Logan which then joined Mahindra’s portfolio before getting ignominiously taken off the Indian market. Still, they do have a fair share of the domestic UV market.
good shout, though they haven’t done much with Ssanyong have they. The Korando was the last all new product for a while
hmm, it’s interesting you mention it that way because it’s a lot like what the UK is doing with the cutbacks in it’s army by saying it’s boosting the Territorial Army instead (an analogue for the National Guard).
The different temperature and salinity zones you speak of are a consequence of the ocean conveyor belt, and they can’t be attributed to causing warming. Instead it’s part of the natural feedback loop that is being disrupted.
Oh wow, I dunno where to start. There’s so much to talk about in this video.
