ah yes, that would count as well.

I love the Harrier. It’s one of my favourite planes ever. Remember visiting an aerospace museum recently and they had an early model on display next to it’s engine. Really makes you realise that the Harrier is essentially some wings and a pilot strapped to a stonking great engine.
I had a feeling it looked very much like a commercial Boeing. I always find it interesting how few windows these aircraft have on the fuselage. Unsurprising really, if they don’t need them.
ah. of course, Israel isn’t a nation for taking chances, it’s just that if it became a long drawn out campaign to halt ISIS, I was thinking Israeli commanders might wish to rationalise given costs. But then again I doubt Israel has trouble funding military action if there’s the slightest existential threat.
Tyler, I know you’ve previously indicated that utilising older kit against insurgents like ISIS as a cost effective and reasonable capability to hit back against them. While it makes sense to arm Jordan with kit Israel won’t need anymore, if Israel Did need to face ISIS at their borders would it be sensible/feasible…
some pretty powerful images here. when you read about people looking haunted/shell shocked i wager these pictures have some of those people. still remember seeing it on the news at school, had a tv wheeled out during assembly.
absolutely ancient lady who thought the back of my head was a grab handle for her to claw her way out of her seat, then not locking the toilet door when going about her business. i think i asked the steward for a blanket after to curl up under and cry myself to sleep. passport control kept looking at me funny.…
Tyler is it true that part of the S-92 air frame is manufactured in India by a TATA subsidiary and exported back stateside for final assembly?
man, I just wouldn’t mess with Israel. Not only are they incredibly resourceful with their weapons, but so fearsome in their capabilities. This wacky races type tank gonna blow up baddies miles away from where any tank should have a prayer of hitting.
man Lockheed are on their way to becoming the ACME of defence firms. surely the US has measures in place such as the EU whereby acquisitions that may create large monolithic companies likely to monopolise a space are prevented for the good of the market. then again I’m no economist and the EU isn’t the beacon right…
haha, yeah I’d like to know of defense projects that were delivered On-Time actually. Bet they’re only a handful.
do you think the Japanese and South Korean designs will enter the market that soon, in the next decade? of course they would be stupid not to incorporate learnings of the problems that have beset the F-35 as yet.
hmm good point, but seeing as Pakistan recently vetted a purchase of the latest Chinese subs, surely now the need for MADs on American Poseidon’s will come apparent given the convergence on hunting for the same type of subs by both India and the US. I bet USN officials will be anxious to see the results of MADs on…
