When you started, you promised to keep your biases out of your reporting. You are failing miserably. FA needs honest reporting; not another gawker wanabee. I would guess you are losing military readers by droves due to your bias. Stop it.

this is true, the Nazis would have taken over everything
I agree that Zaphod is the more similar character. It’s just that the context of flying in to insult someone and leave is totally the M.O. of Wowbagger.
This description only makes me compare The Donald to Bowerick Wowbagger, of Hitchhicker's Guide notoriety.
Imagine Salem Media converting all their sites into operatives seeking to take down a Democrat ruler like Obama or Hillary. How far away would the shrieks of outrage be heard - Pluto, the next galaxy over or the far side of the Universe?
Well, you guys have officially tipped your hat. No more journalism here, just pure politics. I’ll get my gadget news elsewhere.
No offense guys and gals but you’ll need to drop your personal biases out of your articles for me to consider any of your sites an actual “news” source. I’m as anti-Trump as can be, but I call it like I see it.
Aw Gizmodo thinks it’s Gawker again.
Counter-proposal. We sail surfaced if their boats promise to stay underwater.
You have to rock it back and forth. Bring your friends’ Mustangs!
From the perspective of a Norwegian indirectly involved with shipbuilding: American shipbuilding is not commercially viable, but survives on naval contracts and the Jones act. Nearly a century of protectionism has completely distanced American shipbuilding from the real world. Remove the Jones act protection and every…
The shipyard described in this story mostly builds commercial shipping I think. I don’t believe they are building any combat ships (for us anyway, looks like they built some missile boats for the Egyptians). The Jones act requires ships travelling between US ports to be American built, which has preserved some…
When I worked at Boeing, safety was EVERYWHERE. They’d had some issues with safety in the past, but fortunately they had come to their senses and realized that lawsuits aren’t the only reason to strive for a safe work environment.
Kinda makes you wonder how many scores of Chinese and Russian ship builders are killed or disabled attempting to increase their fleet..
This isn’t really surprising. For the most part, these shipyards have to go from idle to full steam ahead with the stroke of a pen. The experienced people often move on from the business because they can’t count on consistent work, so you end up with inexperienced workers doing uninformed and unsafe things.
Would be nice to see this sort of info in the article- thanks!
I appreciate it. No doubt that Tyler leaving was a huge loss for FoxTrot. I’m a big fan of Jalopnik but the relentless Trump/GOP trashing gets old fast.
Aircraft repairs and maintenance doesn’t employ quite as many Boeing employees across 38 states like a new plane project does. The Republicans don’t care more about the military than the Dems or vice versa. It’s about pork. Like when the Generals say they don’t need a new tank but the politicians budget the money for…
Imagine you run a taxi service and each of your cars is expected to drive 1k miles per week. Under this plan, you can schedule routine maintenance and overhauls and size your garage, tooling, and workforce to meet the load. THEN, demand surges and your drivers are driving 3k miles per week. All of your routine…
This was felt very intensely throughout the various divisions of DOD and DOE. The shutdowns and budget shortfalls and never ending continuing resolutions were huge blows to the departments; it’s hard enough getting maintenance and repair money since most congress persons want to have “new” everything to put under…
