Hasn’t the US been in crisis since 1776? Even after the revolutionary war, the continental army all but rebelled when congress decided they couldn’t afford to give them back pay for winning the war. A self governing democratic republic seems to be a really messy blob that somehow muddles through.

I think there are many times when it would be most efficient to use nuclear weapons.
