For the last fifteen years or so, when it comes to coverage of the national team here in Mexico, the media always focuses on three or four players to interview, mostly the mexican born. I long felt it was unfair, but I supposed the media finds it weird that a national representative would give an interview in english.

True. Ten years ago, people in general didn’t care about the youth tournaments, but as the victories came, so did the awereness. Now with two U-17 world championships and one runner-up finish, the general viewing public is aware and watching. I can only hope the women’s side can attain something similar.

Me too. In this day and age, it seems like peanuts, but the fact that Adidas made a specific kit for the women’s side is one of the major breakthroughs for the sport down here. I love video games. I played them hardcore as a kid, and in months-long urges as an adult. I realized, quite early on, that I was pretty terrible.
